No Dp Cable Dell Monitor U2415

I tried both hdmi ports but no change.

Recently the monitor failed so i purchased a new dell u2415 monitor from amazon expecting it to work out of the box. I am using the dvi output with a dvi to dp active adapter cable. 8 usb upstream port connect the usb cable that came with your monitor to the computer. 7 audio line out connect your speakers.

Other monitors can do 1920x1200 through the hdmi port but not this one. I ve tried different hdmi cables but it still goes to sleep without waking up. Dp 1 1 monitor can only be connected as the last monitor in the mst chain. 8 usb upstream port connect the usb cable that came with your monitor to the computer.

When i start the monitor i get no dp cable. Now the computer says no dp cable and goes to sleep and won t wake up. I connect the dell to the laptop using a hdmi cable as there is no display port on the inspiron. I tried an old dell monitor and it worked fine.

The monitor displays no dp cable so it does not recognize the active adapter cable. 7 audio line out connect your speakers. If you use the hdmi port for 1920x1080 then the image will not scale correctly it will be stretched vertically and there is no way to correct this using the monitor or windows settings. Got brand new dell u2415 monitor to go with it.

I have tried swapping out the hdmi cable for another i have tried connecting the dp to usb 3 cable i ve tried installing the drivers etc. This is one of the major reason that people have problems with this monitor. The newly purchased u2415 monitor is hooked up to a d630 win 7 64 bit via the dell pr01x d port advanced port replicator docking station for dell latitude d family laptops. Two cables were supplied with the new monitor.

One of the main weird feature of the dell u2415 is that you must enable the displayport input in the monitor menu before being able to use it.
